The VCLA is an initiative of the Technical University Vienna-TU Vienna (Vienna University of Technology). It Located in the Faculty of Informatics at Vienna University of Technology, the center promotes international scientific collaboration in Logic and Algorithms. VCLA outreach activities aim to increase young people's desire for academic pursuits and raise awareness among the general public about the impact of research on logic, philosophy, mathematics, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
Annual reports detail all VCLA activities. VCLA invites inspired and outstanding female students in the field of Computer Science (CS) who pursue a Masters in Computer Science at TU Wien following one of the following programs:
- Winter Semester 2021/2022
- Summer Semester 2022
And to apply for the annual award-winning Helmut Veith stipend, at least one of the areas in which the Austrian scientist Helmut Veith has worked, and the area he has a solid mathematical and technical background (or is interested in advancing). .
The Helmut Veith stipend is awarded each year to exceptionally gifted and motivated female students in computer science who follow (or plan to pursue) a master's program in computer science at TU Vienna. The Helmut Veith Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Helmut Veith (1981-2018), an outstanding computer scientist who worked in the fields of computer science, computer-assisted verification, software engineering, and logic in computer security. Helmut Weith, who died tragically in March 2016. She was a powerful lawyer and consultant for women in computer science.

Helmut Vith Scholarship students receive:
Annual allowance of 6,000 euros (up to two years).
All tuition fees waived in TU Vienna.
Eligibility of application:
1. Applicants must be eligible for admission to the Masters program in Computer Science at Vienna University of Technology or TU Vienna which is taught in English. In 2021-22 they are:
Master in logic and arithmetic
Master in Business Informatics
Master in Computer Engineering (Informatics in Technics)
Master in Data Science
Master in media and anthropocentric computing
2. Although funds may be applied for before or in parallel with the admission process, the funds will be given only to those applicants who have been unconditionally enrolled in the Masters program. An application for funding for the program does not replace the admission process. The conditional offer of funds does not give the applicant the right to study at TU Vienna.
3. Female students who fulfill the following conditions are eligible to apply for the stipend:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Mathematics (Bologna first cycle) or equivalent degrees
Extensive mathematical and technical knowledge and (at least one) interest in Helmut Weith's research areas:
Logic in computer science
Formal procedures and verification
The basis of artificial intelligence
Algorithms and complexity theories
Computer security
Proficiency in English
Applicable to candidates for all places and all countries including Bangladesh.

The cover letter describes the type of funding the student is applying for, and all other aspects that the student deems relevant to the application.
CV.
The motivation letter describes why the student wants to study in the logic and calculation program, why funding is needed, and which faculty group the student is interested in working with during their master's thesis and why
University exam transcript.
Diploma and / or Certificate (first degree, bachelor's degree, or higher). If the final academic certificate is not yet available at the time of application, an initial certificate (indicating the type of degree and date of graduation expected) must be signed and stamped by the degree-granting university.
