 Islami Chhatra Shibir's President Rashed, GS Rajib | Chhatra Shibir's New Committee

Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir's election of central president and nomination of secretary general for the 2022 session has been completed. Rashedul Islam has been elected as the central president by online members' votes across the country. Rajibur Rahman has been nominated as the Secretary General or GS.

A press release on Wednesday (December 29) said that the names of the newly elected central president were announced at a conference of central members of Chhatra Shibir under the chairmanship of acting election commissioner and former central president Matiur Rahman Akand. Acting Election Commissioner of Chhatra Shibir announced the Chhatra Shibir's new committee.

After announcing the name, the acting election commissioner of Chhatra Shibir administered oath to the newly elected central president.

Earlier, the Central Presidential elections were held simultaneously across the country from 11 am on December 26 to 11 pm on December 26.

According to the constitution of Chhatra Shibir, the central president nominated Rajibur Rahman as the secretary general in consultation with the executive council for the 2022 session.

Newly elected Central President Rashedul Islam had earlier served as Secretary General, Central Office Secretary, Central Dawah Secretary, Central Education Secretary, Central Science Secretary and President of Rajshahi University respectively.

He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the Department of Population Science and Human Resource Development from Rajshahi University (in short RU). Now He is studying at a private university.

Newly appointed Secretary General Rajibur Rahman has previously served in the Central Office, Central Literature and Dawah, Central Publications, Central School Activities Division. He graduated from Rangpur Carmichael College with a bachelor's and master's degree in chemistry. He is also currently studying at a private university.
